Necessary Items When Embarking On A Modern Nomadic Lifestyle

Are you tired of living in one place? Do you want to just take off and see the country? When you're self-employed, it can be relatively easy to go wherever you want, whenever you want. If you want to do this on a semi-permanent basis, then you're going to need a plan. Wandering randomly, with few possessions to your name, is a life that many can enjoy. But if you want to have a little more stability and a few more comforts of home, then there are things that you should do before you set off on your adventure:

Solar charging panels: You may plan to check into inexpensive accommodations every night, but that plan may not always work out. You may decide to take a detour on a whim, going off to see a remote tourist attraction. While it's possible to charge your cell phone and your laptop from your vehicle's battery, this may not be something that you want to rely on when you're hundreds of miles from civilization. A good solar charger for this purpose can be expensive, but if you don't have reliable access to an electrical outlet then it becomes essential. You may also want to look for a non-solar battery pack that can jump-start your vehicle in an emergency.

Enclosed trailer: Unless you have a large RV, an ordinary passenger vehicle is unlikely to be able to carry everything that you'll need for your nomadic trip. You'll need several changes of clothes, spare parts for your vehicle, spare batteries, camping supplies, cooking supplies, and more. While you could just go out and purchase an RV for the job, an enclosed trailer is likely to be much less expensive and may be easier for you to manage. Take advantage of the additional space offered by an enclosed trailer to pack a folding camp bed. If you decide to take advantage of the cheap rates at a nearby campground, you'll be able to sleep relatively comfortably instead of being forced to sleep on the ground with just a sleeping bag.

Emergency gas reserve: Whether you're pulling an enclosed trailer or just driving your vehicle normally, it's not always easy to estimate how much further you can go on the gas that's in your tank. It's a good idea to carry an empty emergency gas can with you, in case you run out of gas, so that you can bring gas back from the closest station. But you should also consider purchasing a supply of Magic Tank to help get you closer to the gas station. Magic Tank is non-flammable and isn't a gas replacement. However, it should allow you to get a few more miles out of what little fuel is left in your tank, allowing you to at least get closer to civilization before you need to break out the emergency gas can.
